POSTPARTUM IS A REAL THING.
I wanted to see how design prevent mental health disorders in pregnant and postpartum women, but I realized that 2 big issues playing a role in the mental health statistics were
1. the lack of support (intentional/non-intentional)
and
2. difficulty with lactation
Therefore, I focused on what I could do as a designer to make sure the mother felt fully supported without adding tasks or a burden.
I was to design a SYSTEM that included emotional and physical support.
After 5 rounds of user testing through clickable prototype links and in-person testing, I reached a final design.
The saying is true, it takes a village to raise a child.
